Operation Identity Meeting Minutes

October 23, 2008

Meeting was called to order by Lee Morgan.

Eleven members were present.

Minutes of September meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report

Current bank balance is $3,000.00.

Old Business

• Library — Connie communicated with owner of the Noble Path bookstore; this is not an option. Center for Spiritual Living might be a possibility (on Louisiana between Menaul and Candelaria). Connie took action item to check on this.
• Communication — Marc will post O.I. meetings in the Alibi after running the wording by Lee.
Attendees agreed that Connie will e-mail O.I. minutes to those that want to receive them.
• Legislation issues — Barbara indicated that the Michigan legislation will start over in both house and senate next year.
• Conference — Still need a person who has the accreditation to offer CEUs for the conference; Barbara will contact Meg G. Connie will be responsible for putting together a committee to organize the conference

New business

• Barbara passed around cards for members to sign: sympathy card for family of Dana (?) who passed away; get-well card for Sally File
• To update records on members and be able to track dues, Connie and Lee will put together a survey to be included in the next Newsletter
• Discussion on an informal way to maintain contact with new people that attend OI meetings; Kathie Forward indicated she would keep contact information if desired by new people.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned 9:00 p.m.
