Operation Identity Meeting Minutes

March 24, 2011

Meeting was called to order by Connie Martin.

Nine members and four guests were present.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer's Report was read and approved. Several annual dues payments were received via PayPal (website) following publication of the Albuquerque Journal article on Sally File’ls death. Approximate current balance in account is $2,100.00.


Old Business

O.I. One-Day Conference

• Connie agreed to bring paper required paper and plastic goods;
• Agreement was reached to meet at Barbara’s house on Wednesday, April 6th, to make conference packets;
• Motion made, seconded and approved to reimburse Sharon Fieker-Cummins for gasoline expense in the amount of $250.00;
• Agreement was reached to meet at Monte Vista Church on Friday, April 8th, at 4 p.m. to set up for conference;
• Motion made, seconded and approved to subsidize one-half of Kathie Quintana’s conference registration fee;
• Alice B. Davenport, author and Publisher of The Adoption Triad: Who Am I Really?, wants to donate a copy of her book for the O.I. library; she would also like permission to sell her book at the O.I. Conference. It was agreed to permit Davenport to sell her book at the conference in exchange for a $1.00 donation to O.I. for every book sold at conference.

New Business

• Lynn Miller of the Albuquerque Journal called to say that listings in the "Support Groups" insert of the Journal must now be paid for—tabled until April meeting.

• Birth Mother’s Day Potluck to be held on May 7th;
   — It was tentatively agreed to hold gathering at Connie Martin's house.


There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
